About me
Renato Araujo Renato Araujo (Silva) was born and raised in Jacareí, São Paulo, Brazil. He comes from a family of musicians. Just like him, his siblings, Regiani Cristine Araujo and Wilson Rodrigo da Silva, inherited their musical talent from their grandmother, Tereza Luzia, and their mother, Regina Araujo. Even at 84 years old, Tereza Luzia performs classical music with the same technique and grace as a young artist. At the tender age of nine, Renato already displayed his musical gift by playing the recorder, his first musical instrument. The flute awakened a musical foundation and interest in him. Renato sang in the church's children's choir that his mother attended. When he turned 13, his parents gave him a keyboard as a gift. The instrument came with a manual that contained some suggested chords to follow. Renato began playing the instrument by simply reading the equipment manual. During that time, he learned to play the drums from teenagers in the church and later switched to the bass guitar. At the age of 14, he started listening to various gospel music artists, including Arautos do Rei, Alvaro Tito, and Take 6. It was then that he developed an appreciation for a cappella music. After trying his hand at various instruments, he decided to work with something he hadn't tested before: his voice. From 1994 to 1999, Renato organized events and performed with various bands at concerts and parties in communities across numerous cities and states in Brazil. He joined two groups - Quinteto One and Quinteto Kairos - in both instrumental and a cappella styles. Renato Araujo's musicality evolved as he read and discussed music theory with musician friends, blending theory with practice. Later on, he studied at the Maestro Fego Camargo School in Taubaté, São Paulo. Currently, Renato is releasing his third album and promises the following: "No one can hold me back in music anymore."
